The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you would like to work on, and any relevant background information. You’re welcome to share at your own pace — there is no pressure to “tell everything” at once. We will also discuss how therapy works and set some initial goals together. You will also be provided with information regarding the sessions, the consent form and the therapeutic process in general. These terms are explained thoroughly, and any questions can be answered.
Frequently Asked Questions – FAQ
Therapy Process
The frequency of the sessions can be discussed and agreed between the client and the therapist. Most clients begin with weekly sessions or sessions every other week, as consistency helps build momentum and depth in the work. Over time, we may move to bi-weekly sessions or every few weeks depending on your needs, goals, and progress.
The length of therapy varies from person to person. Some clients benefit from short-term, focused work (a few months), while others choose longer-term therapy for deeper exploration and ongoing support. We will regularly review your progress and adjust as needed.
Feeling comfortable and safe is essential in therapy. If something doesn’t feel right, we encourage you to bring it up so we can explore it together. If you feel that your therapist is not the right fit for you, they fully support your decision and can help guide you toward another professional if needed.

Online Therapy
Yes, our office offers both in-person and online sessions, allowing flexibility depending on your location, schedule, or personal preference.
Research shows that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy for many concerns. The most important factor is the therapeutic relationship, which can be built both online and face-to-face.
Online sessions are conducted through a secure, confidential video platform that protects your privacy. Details and instructions are provided before your first online appointment.
Confidentiality
Yes. Therapy is confidential, and your privacy is taken very seriously. Information shared in sessions will not be disclosed without your consent, except in rare situations required by law (such as risk of harm to yourself or others). We will discuss confidentiality in detail during the first session.
Therapist Fit
A good therapeutic relationship is built on trust, safety, and collaboration. You may get a sense from our first few sessions whether you feel understood and supported. You are also welcome to contact me with any questions before booking to help you decide.
You are always free to change therapists. If you decide to do so, we can discuss your reasons and we can assist with referrals if helpful. Your wellbeing and comfort are the priority.
I work with adults, adolescents and couples, experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and self-esteem challenges. If you are unsure whether your concern is something we work with, feel free to reach out.
